Apple Has More Cash Than the U.S. Government

Reaching milestones and breaking records are nothing new for Apple, but their latest achievement is a whole different ball game. Based on their June quarterly earnings report, Steve Jobs and company reported having more cash than the United States government.

As it is, the U.S. Treasury Department stated that they have an operating balance of $73.768 billion. In contrast, Apple reported cash reserves of $75.876 billion.

Now if only we can convince Jobs to lower the price of the iPad.
